Am 27. Mai wurde das KomZi-Projekt (Kommunales Zirkuläres Ökosystem im Bauwesen) in Brüssel, Belgien, im Rahmen der Abschlusskonferenz der Hubs4Circularity Community of Practice in einer interaktiven Poster-Session präsentiert.
KomZi entwickelt ein kommunales zirkuläres Ökosystem für den Bausektor mit dem Ziel, Baustoffe und Bauteile aus Rückbau- und Sanierungsmaßnahmen systematisch zu erfassen und in neue Bauvorhaben zu reintegrieren. Ein zentrales Element des Projekts ist ein digitales Matchmaking-Tool, das Angebot und Nachfrage von Sekundärmaterialien zusammenführt und zirkuläre Entscheidungsprozesse unterstützt.
Im Rahmen der Konferenz wurden die Ansätze des Projekts zur Förderung zirkulärer Bauweisen vorgestellt. Ein besonderer Fokus lag dabei auf Rückbauaudits als Grundlage zur Identifizierung von Wiederverwendungspotenzialen.
Die Präsentation erhöhte die internationale Sichtbarkeit des KomZi-Projekts und bot zugleich die Möglichkeit, Einblicke in aktuelle europäische Ansätze, Anwendungen und Projekte im Bereich der Circular Economy zu gewinnen. Darüber hinaus förderte die Veranstaltung den fachlichen Austausch und Wissenstransfer mit internationalen Expertinnen und Experten sowie Projektpartnern.
Insgesamt bot die Konferenz eine wertvolle Plattform, um die Projektergebnisse einem internationalen Fachpublikum vorzustellen und neue Impulse für die weitere Projektarbeit zu gewinnen.
On 27 May in Brussels, Belgium, the KomZi project (Kommunales Zirkuläres Ökosystem im Bauwesen) was presented at the Final Conference of the Hubs4Circularity Community of Practice in an interactive poster session.
KomZi develops a municipal circular ecosystem for the construction sector, focusing on the systematic identification and reintegration of building materials and components from demolition and renovation activities into new construction projects. A key element of the project is a digital matchmaking tool that coordinates supply and demand for secondary materials and supports circular decision-making.
At the conference, the project presented its approach to enabling circular construction practices, with a particular focus on pre-demolition audits as a foundation for identifying reuse potential.
The presentation increased the visibility of the KomZi project in an international context and provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge with experts and project partners from across Europe. It also offered valuable insights into current European approaches and applications in the field of circular economy.
Overall, the event highlighted KomZi’s contribution to circular construction practices and enabled the sharing of key project findings with an international expert audience.
